Catholic Church has Some Explaining to Do

Christianity has caught a real bad rap because of the Catholic church. We shouldn’t base our views on the bible on the actions of the Catholic Church. Sadly many people do associate the teachings of the scripture with the Catholic Church.

Is the Catholic Church really a bible based religion now? If it’s not, can we base our views of YHWH, and Yahushua on it? Let’s take a look and see weather or not the Catholic church is based on the bible…..

Exodus 28:41 – “You shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests.”

It seems that scripture suggests that one must be a Levite, and a son of Aaron to be a priest. The first flaw I see in the Catholic Church is the fact that they have priests. Do these men claim to be descended from Aaron? No, they do not. So why do they call themselves priests then? Under what authority do they get the privilege to be supposed priests of YHWH?

Deuteronomy 4:16 – “so that you do not act corruptly and make a graven image for yourselves in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female”

Mosaic law is clear concerning making images of deities, even YHWH. What human hand could even capture the glory of YHWH in a painting or statue? Solomon’s Temple only had images of angels, palm trees, and pomegranates. Why does the Catholic Church violate the rule against making images of the Creator?

Numbers 6:17 – “So they shall invoke My name (YHWH) on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them.”

Psalms 86:12 – “I will give thanks to You, O YHWH my Elohim, with all my heart, And will glorify Your Name forever.”

Here is what the Catholic Church says about using His Name…

“Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli of Paterson, N.J., chairman of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship, announced the new Vatican “directives on the use of ‘the name of God’ in the sacred liturgy” in an Aug. 8 letter to his fellow bishops.” “Avoiding pronouncing the Tetragrammaton of the name of God on the part of the church has therefore its own grounds,” the letter said. “Apart from a motive of a purely philological order, there is also that of remaining faithful to the church’s tradition, from the beginning, that the sacred Tetragrammaton was never pronounced in the Christian context nor translated into any of the languages into which the Bible was translated.”

These decrees go against what scripture teaches.. consider Exodus 3:15, Exodus 9:16, Exodus 33:19, Leviticus 19:12, Numbers 6:17, 1 Kings 5:5, Psalms 86:12, Psalms 91:14, Psalms 103:1, Isaiah 42:8, Isaiah 52:6, Jeremiah 12:16, Jeremiah 15:16, Jeremiah 16:21, Jeremiah 23:27, Ezekiel 39:7, Zechariah 13:9, Matthew 24:9 , John 10:25, John 16:24, and Acts 4:12…

This is all just the very tip of the iceberg. We could go on for days with subjects like pagan holidays being incorporated into the Catholic Church, or the great wealth of the Vatican that could feed many starving Catholics.

The scripture warns about hoarding wealth. I would like for people to know that the RCC is not a bible based religion, and you shouldn’t base your ideas of Elohim, and the scripture on this establishment.

Actually, I think most of us would disagree with your analogy as to what is giving Christians a bad name. Using the Bible to find fault or to criticise others and then the arrogance of feeling justified to do so, in my estimation, is what is giving Christians a bad name. People living in glass houses should not throw the first stone. Much of the old testament does derive itself from the pagan view and is filled with error as no one could either read or write the language when it was interpreted by the Catholic Monks. When the Churches can agree with each other on more of their areas of agreement than find fault with, such petty differences, that Christians will gain credibility.

    • You say “most of us would agree” but who is “most of us? Most people I know agree with what I wrote concerning the subject. The purpose of the scripture isn’t to find ways to judge, although many do this. The scripture actually teaches not to judge others (Matthew 7:1) and that we are all sinners (Isaiah 64:4-9). No Christian is perfect, and as far as throwing stones goes, our Master Yahushua taught us that it should be the man who is without sin should cast the first stone. The Old Testament is certainly not “derive itself from the pagan view” and as far as being “filled with error” I challenge you to point out these errors. The errors do not exist. As far as “Christianity gaining credibility” goes, that is a strange remark. The faith is very credible, and some of the smartest men on the planet are Christians. Maybe more people should observe the commandment given to us by Yahushua such as love thy neighbor as yourself, and pray and love your enemies. As far as the catholic church tainting the faith goes, I really don’t need to state all the horrible things that they did in the name of “God” its quite obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of western history.

      How dare you say:

“Much of the old testament does derive itself from the pagan view and is filled with error as no one could either read or write the language when it was interpreted by the Catholic Monks.”

This is a blasphemous quote. The mechanical translation of the greek word for “Anti” in the term Anti-christ literally means “Instead of” or “substitute for.” Do your homework. The Pope’s historic title is “Vicor of Christ” This means substitute for. He literally has Anti-Christ tatooed on his forehead. Second, do not ever dare say the bible if full with errors. Though the text may have been mistranslated in some places by shakespare, the mechanical translation of what the prophets wrote is flawless. The statement you made is arrogant, abominable, and laced with ignorance. Repent and believe the gospel. Stop bowing down to doctrines of men and kissing rings or mortals who claim to be the divine descendants of Peter. There is no such mention of any such church in the bible. The Catholic church has killed millions and you can even find pictures of the pope alongside mussolini. How dumb can you possibly be. Google it, if you think I’m lying. Pope = Antichrist. There is no substitue for Jesus Christ. There never will be. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.

  2. Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

It is well said that the RCC has styled her priesthood upon the OT model. The similarities are many, particularly the colors used. Look at any picture of the ceremonies and rites of Catholicism and one cannot help but notice the predominant colors of scarlet and purple.

The OT priests had these colors also. Notice: Exodus 39:1 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Exodus 39:2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

Notice that the color blue plays an integral role in the vestments of the OT priest but is absent from the colors of Babylon, and also from Rome. Why is that one may ask?
It is found in the reason that the blue was included in the first place.

Numbers 15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue
39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

We see here that God had blue included for the express purpose of reminding Israel to obey His commandments. This would be anathema to Babylon, the whore who fornicates with idols and blasphemes the name of God. Thus blue cannot be found upon Babylon/Rome.

  3. Dear Sir,

Different Little creatures come near you, when you have them in the thoughts. A Big Housefly kind of insect did appear, when we were discussing these things about the Jehovah. However we were surprised & left some food there. Incidentally few hawk like birds were also around. But this was surprising.

Thanks for all the good information provided.
