Modern Nephilim: Addressing the Pink Elephant

Posted in 05 : Generations X with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 07/24/2011 by timenolonger

In the recent years, a genuinely good thing has happened in the body of Messiah. Many believers have begun to take the lesser taught sections of His word seriously, and search them out in light of the things taking place in the world now.

Since we can sadly track the degradation of church leadership, it’s encouraging when there’s a revival of basic biblical study.

This has led many Christians to take a second look at obscure prophecies and records like 1 Enoch, Jubilees and certain long overlooked passages in the canon.

Multitudes now understand what nephilim are and where they came from.

I’ve been waiting for the backlash though… Satan never lets a genuinely good thing slide by without having a stab at it.

As often happens when some piece of information comes to light on a growing scale, there come those who set themselves center stage to address the issue and become the loud voices of “authority” on the matter.

The subject of modern nephilim has attracted its own center-stagers… their foremost claimed purpose being to minister to victims of alien abduction and SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse).

I can’t possibly speculate on the true intentions of those who have taken on this… YHWH knows them, but I have serious concerns with the results.

I also won’t bother to name the sources of what I’ve read. They aren’t difficult sources to find on the internet, and most likely anyone really wanting to know could find out – I just have a personal hesitation to sling names.

Aside from this, the big sources I have found backing the opinions I’ll address almost certainly are followed by many lesser known personalities who have adopted the view point.

First, to clarify my own standing on these questions:

Are there people of nephilim descent alive on earth currently?

Yes. I’d find it difficult to not call the alternative impossible by looking at the Bible alone for evidence. Scripture pointedly calls the inhabitants of the Promised Land at the time of Israel’s arrival “nephilim”. They were not all eradicated. What else could happen but that they absorbed into the world population?

Is there a current resurgence of fallen angels procreating in some fashion with human women?

The evidence says yes. The testimony of countless victims of abduction scenarios, black op programs and SRA, coupled with more than one plainly stated Biblical prophecy concerning just this situation in the end times, must reasonably be weightier than the academic speculation of those who deny it.

Is there salvation possible for those of nephilim descent?

Most people should probably hope so if the answer to question 1 is valid… and based on the following verse alone, I’d answer yes:

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is immersed will be saved. But he who does not believe will be condemned.”

– Mark 16:15,16

This stand on the subject (particularly in combination) seems to be a pretty unpopular one.

The loud voices in the arena have uniformly taken positions which do not have to deal with extending unsavory notions of salvation to “abominations”… nor having to face any individual with a message of unavoidable condemnation.

The first idea is contradictory to human nature… the second idea is contradictory to Christianity. There seems to be a fence that’s being ridden to death in this matter.

The loudest voice out there has what is termed a “Ministry” that is set forth as one offering a message of hope to those who have claimed to be nephilim, or descended from such.

This outreach counsels those who have testimony of abduction experiences, women who have claimed to have been impregnated by fallen angels, etc.

At first glance, it appears like something its not. The message is emblazoned across the site boldly proclaiming salvation for these people. Prepare to be confused if you keep reading the site though… finally it declares that no such things exist.

It is, perhaps, the most pointless declaration of the gospel I’ve ever seen. It reaches an anticlimax of none effect as it denies the claims of those who have come for counseling. It concludes in a negation of its own existence on the internet by basically stating “nephilim can be saved… because there aren’t any.”

The same group which is behind the above mentioned site, has as its explanation for the testimony of abductions a completely fabricated “vision” given to abductees.

A vision given to the end that the combined effort of smoke and mirrors will result in people who are either 1. rejecting of those they believe are nephilim or 2. people who believe they have no chance of redemption because they are nephilim.

There is no effort made to provide better evidence for this view at all. It’s simply stated as a “belief”. Beliefs, I’ve come to realize, are worthless things to have.

I don’t think Christians “believe” in a Creator, We Know there is One. We have good evidence of it in our own experience. A belief is a whim without evidence, something that just “sounds right”.

On the other hand, there are these individuals who have experienced things first hand, things which are incredibly difficult for them to bring to public light, especially when it is wrapped around concerns of their own salvation. As I see it, no one who has no first hand evidence of their own needs to add their speculation to the scales when the evidence is weighed.

There have been plenty of rebuttals which have come forth from various sources addressed to those who put forth the above site and theories.

These generally take seriously the claims of abductees and SRA victims (which is good).

They do believe there is a current resurgence in the admixture of fallen angel and human, though they do not seem to want to approach the issue of an ongoing lineage of such in the world. There’s a good reason for this… so far I have not seen a single source argue that there is a salvation option for any existing hybrids.

If any of these sources were to maintain that position in light of the possibility of actually meeting any… that would certainly put them in a rough spot. There’s probably little hope for the ministry who would condemn a person because they believed them to be hybrid.

One source neatly covered the issue by simply stating that hybrids do exist – But if a person was even interested in coming to salvation… that Must mean they are not hybrid.

That, again, stands on speculation. Is there some way this person could possibly know the ability of anyone but himself to want salvation?
Even the fallen Watchers pleaded with Enoch to petition YHWH on their behalves. What would make every single nephil uninterested in reconciliation to the Creator?

It’s a big Pink Elephant.

There are uncomfortable ideas in all of this and people really don’t like to address uncomfortable ideas. Generally an “us and them” mentality feels best to human nature.

If there’s no “them”, people tend to feel there’s less to esteem about “us”. It’s having to face the blackness of our own individual sins that makes it uncomfortable to put “them”on equal footing in some way. It’s more a comfort to tiptoe around some glaring evidence, to deny a necessity to address some point by simply speculating it out of existence.

If someone out there Really wants to be a ministry to help these people, it’s going to mean facing the elephant, regardless of what it looks like to the popular mind set.

As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

And in the days of these kings ‘Eloah of the sky will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed and the kingdom shall not be left to other people.

It shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever.

– Daniel 12: 43,44

Hard Times on Easy Street

Posted in 11 : Labor Pains with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 06/02/2011 by timenolonger

Has your life recently grown more difficult? This may be theory right now.. but based upon the mounting evidence for it.. I’d say it could become law soon.

As believers we are all, so to speak, on ‘Easy Street’.. we have eternal life in our Savior.. and that makes our lives much easier than the lives of the lost.. we have the liberation in Messiah that slaves to sin have yet to know. We pray those bound to sin will come to know, sooner than later, that redeeming freedom from death.

Believers will have tribulation.. that is fact.. and we are to count it all joy.. and that can be difficult.. but as for going through daily life.. we have it easy.

We are protected by the saving blood and resurrection of Yahushua our Messiah.. and we have been empowered by His Holy Spirit to know and speak truth in love.

The path believers have taken is described in scripture as narrow, and hard to find.. and we know this is true.. the world is filled with gaping invitations to run the road to ruin.. and charting a path through this earthly tangle of sin is not easy.. the path to salvation is narrow, but it’s there, waiting and open for travelers.. though walking it takes Divine intervention.

But once we as believers have taken the high road of salvation.. we are free in our Savior.. and that liberty in Him, we all know, has made our lives much easier. It’s the times, i think we’d all agree, which have grown harder.. these are evil days.. full of turmoil, destruction and general uneasiness.. lots of little things in people’s lives have begun to mount.. and that mountain, for many, has begun to crumble.

Through our faith in Yahushua we could fearlessly enter the fiery furnace or calmly sleep with the lions.. we could face any unwarranted attack from the enemy with firm resolve in simply knowing and accepting that we, as believers, are protected. But we are not perfect.. and, even if we do not willfully continue in it, we will fall into sin at times.. and those times, now more than ever in our lives, are causes for concern.

It’s not the sin that should be more concerning than before.. it’s the ramifications of sin committed in a world where the enemy has us surrounded, and is closing in on our camp.

In believers’ lives, the effects of sin are becoming more dangerous than ever.. and I’d imagine these dark days have found many of us re-assessing our situations a lot more frequently than we had before.

We all have seen the tightening of the belts holding up the financial industry.. companies pursuing even small credit lapses.. natural gas companies cutting people off in winter when their bills are barely two months behind.. merchants instituting a maze of individually-identifying red tape before they give out a refund.

Of course, it hasn’t stopped there.. amidst the world-wide disaster strikes and skyrocketing levels of geo-political unrest.. the industry of government has feverishly begun sewing together all its loose ends as well.. closing off the exits on every possible avenue of freedom.. creating invisible-barred virtual prisons where people are unwittingly put to hard labor in mental slavery camps which appear to be ‘just life’.

I think Bob Marley put it well with his words “the Babylon system is a vampire.. sucking the blood of the sufferers..”

And now, and more each day, in this world where there is a major earthquake, flood, fire or something weird practically each week – we as believers have got to stand ready in our lives.

My personal life re-assessments have found me ready for the lions of the den – but unprepared for the mice of the field.

Bush (the band, of course) recorded a song with the line “It’s the little things that kill.. tearing at my brain again.. little things that kill..” and i think that now those words have rung most true. Our little sins.. like neglect.. like over-confidence.. they are the mice in the field.. and when they find us, they begin to gnaw.. not just at the visible tethers of our physical lives.. but they eat away at our unseen spiritual strength as well.

Our world is getting more evil, and everything wrong we do seems to carry much more weight than it did before.. and we know the only solution is to seek the counsel and instruction of our Savior. The days of dancing down the street singing are behind us perhaps, for now. The road is rocky and full of pitfalls.. and getting worse, most especially when we are at fault through those so-called ‘little’ sins. This is my theory, but of believers, i dare say, there’d be few who reject it.

Friends.. get your houses in order.. tie up the seams you have turned your head against in the past.. love each other without portion, and above all.. stay in our Master’s company.. read His word.. do His will.. be as close to without reproach as possible.. live like today is your last without living like today is the only day.

Our daily futures certainly don’t need to be mapped to nausea, but we do need a ‘game plan’.. because the game is on, it seems (if it’s not.. then we are even worse off than we think) – and the penalties for crossing the lines have gotten harsher.. and will continue.. until we, the believers on Yahushua, are openly the enemies.. and then it will be the worst.

Hard times on Easy Street.. I think we are probably there.. and I think if that is the case.. then what we will find on farther up the road is going to be times even harder.. until there is time no longer.. we believers are being tested.. let Yahushua bring us all out shining like gold.. turn every stone in your life.. consider sin – and run from it like it’s the plague.

Take care of the little things in life that can be controlled.. because the rest of the things we can’t control are hurtling toward us at increasing size and speed.. escape the avalanche with the simple and protective faith you have in our Savior.. do His will to the fullest daily.. He has said He will never leave us nor forsake us, and we know that to be true.

Don’t forget the little things.. these are dark days and hard, but Yahushua will surely bring us through them.

Remember Joel:

{1:1} The word of Yahuwah that came to Yo’el the son of Pethuw’el.

{2} Hear this, you elders, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land! Has this happened in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

{3} Tell your sons about it, your sons their sons, and their sons another generation.

{4} What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten. What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten. And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.

{5} Awake, you drunkards, and weep. And wail, all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine, for it has been cut off from your mouth.

{6} For a nation has come up against My land, strong, and without number. His teeth the teeth of a lion and he has the fangs of a fierce lion.

{7} He has laid waste My vine and ruined My fig tree. He has stripped it bare and thrown it away. Its branches are made white.

{8} Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

{9} The grain offering and the drink offering have been cut off from the house of Yahuwah. The temple officials mourn, who minister to Yahuwah.

{10} The field is wasted, the land mourns, for the grain is ruined, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails.

{11} Be ashamed, you farmers! Wail, you vinedressers, for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field has perished.

{12} The vine has dried up and the fig tree has withered. The pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree. All the trees of the field are withered. Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.

{13} Gird yourselves and lament, you temple officials. Wail, you who minister before the altar. Come! Lie all night in sackcloth, you who minister to my ‘Eloah, for the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your ‘Eloah.

{14} Consecrate a fast. Call a sacred assembly. Gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the land to the house of Yahuwah your ‘Eloah, and cry out to Yahuwah.

{15} Alas for the day! For the day of Yahuwah is at hand. It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.

{16} Is not the food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the house of our ‘Eloah?

{17} The seed shrivels under the clods, storehouses are in shambles, barns are broken down, for the grain has withered.

{18} How the animals groan! The herds of cattle are restless because they have no pasture. Even the flocks of sheep suffer punishment.

{19} O Yahuwah, to You I cry out, for fire hasdevoured the open pastures and a flame has burned all the trees of the field.

{20} The beasts of the field also cry out to You, for the water brooks are dried up and fire has devoured the open pastures.

{2:1}Blow the trumpet in Tsiyown and sound an alarm in My sacred mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of Yahuwah is coming. For it is at hand!

{2} A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been, nor will there ever be any after them, even for many successive generations.

{3} A fire devours before them and behind them a flame burns. The land is like the Garden of ‘Eden before them and behind them a desolate wilderness. Surely nothing shall escape them.

{4} Their appearance is like the appearance of horses and like swift steeds, so they run.

{5} With a noise like chariots, over mountaintops theyleap, like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble, like a strong people set in battle array.

{6} Before them the people writhe in pain, all faces are drained of color.

{7} They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like men of war. Every one marches in formation and they do not break ranks.

{8} They do not push one another. Every one marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, they are not cut down.

{9} They run to and fro in the city. They run on the wall. They climb into the houses. They enter at the windows like a thief.

{10} The earth quakes before them. The skies tremble. The sun and moon grow dark and the stars diminish their brightness.

{11} Yahuwah gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great, for the executor of His word is strong. For the day of Yahuwah is great and very terrible. Who can endure it?

{12} “Now therefore,” says Yahuwah, “turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”

{13} So rend your heart and not your garments. Return to Yahuwah your ‘Eloah for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He relents from doing harm.

{14} Who knows if He will turn and relent and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering and a drink offering for Yahuwah your ‘Eloah?

{15} Blow the trumpet in Tsiyown, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly,

{16} gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the sons and nursing babes. Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber and the bride from her dressing room.

{17} Let the temple officials, who minister to Yahuwah, weep between the porch and the altar. Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Yahuwah, and do not give Your heritage to reproach that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their ‘Eloah?'”

{18} Then Yahuwah will be zealous for His land and pity His people.

{19} Yahuwah will answer and say to His people, “Behold! I will send you grain and new wine and oil and you will be satisfied by them. I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.

{20} But I will remove far from you the northern army, and will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, with his face toward the eastern sea and his back toward the western sea. His stench will come up and his foul odor will rise because he has done monstrous things.”

{21} Fear not, O land! Be glad and rejoice, for Yahuwah has done marvelous things!

{22} Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field, for the open pastures are springing up and the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.

{23} Be glad then, you sons of Tsiyown, and rejoice in Yahuwah your ‘Eloah, for He has given you the autumn rain faithfully and He will cause the rain to come down for you. The autumn rain and the spring rain in the first month.

{24} The threshing floors shall be full of wheat and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.

{25} So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

{26} You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of Yahuwah your ‘Eloah Who has dealt wondrously with you, and My people shall never be put to shame.

{27} Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Yisra’el. I am Yahuwah your ‘Eloah and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame,

{28} and it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

{29} And also on menservants and on maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

{30} And I will show wonders in the sky and in the earth. Blood and fire and pillars of smoke!

{31} The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahuwah.

{32} And it shall come to pass whoever calls on the name of Yahuwah shall be saved. For in Mount Tsiyown and in Yeruwshalaim there shall be deliverance, as Yahuwah has said, among the remnant whom Yahuwah calls.

Who are “The Two”?

Posted in 02 : The Truth Is Out There... with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 04/14/2011 by timenolonger

In this recycled era of ‘anything goes’ because ‘it’s all a blur’ temporary trends have remained a constant.. even (and perhaps especially) among ministries.. trends viewed in retrospect however are often disturbing to those who once partook.. ‘I can’t believe I ever wore.. bellbottoms.. platforms.. black eyeliner.. jelly shoes..’ etc.

One of the disturbing trends currently circulating through ministries involves a line in Matthew 18:19 which states:

‘..if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven’.

This line is used often in prayers for others in a way that indicates to the person for whom the prayer is being said that ‘I’m praying for you – and you and I both agree that you should have that financial breakthrough.. new car.. better job.. etc. therefore our Father will definitely provide it to you’.

That may be a nice thought with good intentions and probably goes over well on 24-hour prayer lines.. but what exactly is the case – who exactly are the ‘two’ in agreement.. and what exactly about their agreement constitutes the will of our Father in Heaven?

Examining the line in context..

19: Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

It’s important to note here that Yahushua is addressing His disciples.. people who believed on Him.. people ‘gathered together in His name’. One could say ‘..if two [gathered together in Yahushua’s name] agree on earth.. it shall be done..’

But there is a strong indication from ministries these days that essentially any ‘two people’ can agree on earth concerning anything they ask.. and therefore guarantee it will be delivered to them.

It is an idea that utilizes scripture but changes the intended meaning.. and it comes off sounding more like an occult incantation than it does a humbled supplication.. hence of course its popularity.

One might argue that it only applies if the two doing the asking are gathered together in Messiah’s name.. for example one believer and one non-believer can assemble but the request wouldn’t be granted because there is only one believer doing the asking.. but we know from Matthew 6:6 that this is not the case..

‘..when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.’

We know our Father in Heaven has rewarded us openly many times for those prayers we have asked of Him by ourselves in secret.

So then.. who are the ‘two’ in 19.. and who are the ‘two or three’ in verse 20.. and why is Yahushua making plurality an issue when we know that even our individual silent prayers to the Father in Him are answered?

The simple answer is that the first person in all three equations must be the Holy Spirit.

‘But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send(1) in My name(2), He(3) shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you(4).’

– John 14:26

We see in this verse 4 basic things..
1: The Holy Spirit is sent from our Father in Heaven
2: The Holy Spirit is sent in Yahushua’s name
3: The Holy Spirit is referred to as ‘He’
4: The Holy Spirit confirms Yahushua

The Holy Spirit is commonly known as a ‘person’:

.. and regarded as one in scripture.. an example being that the Holy Spirit can and has been ‘grieved’..
Isaiah 63:10 ‘..they rebelled, and vexed His Holy Spirit’
‘vexed’ in this verse is the Hebrew ‘atsab’ which means ‘grieved’.
Ephesians 4:30 ‘..grieve not the Holy Spirit of Yahuwah’

The Holy Spirit also dwells within His believers:

Isaiah 63:11 ‘..where is He that put His Holy Spirit within them?’
Luke 11:13 ‘ much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?’

The Holy Spirit is the person abiding in each believer on Yahushua:

It is specifically Yahuwah’s Holy Spirit which He has given to those who are His in Messiah.. 1Thessalonians 4:8 ‘..Yahuwah, who has also given us His Holy Spirit’

It is Yahuwah’s own Holy Spirit and therefore is only in complete agreement with Him.. the same way Yahushua ‘the express image’ [Hebrews 1:3] of Yahuwah is likewise only in complete agreement with Him..

In other words.. ‘..there are Three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these Three are One’. 1John 5:7

To agree with the Holy Spirit is to agree with the Father and the Word [Yahushua is the Word John 1:14].. Our individual spirit should be in agreement with His Holy Spirit.. regardless of the number of the assembly and not just when we pray but always.

The ‘magic charm’ idea that two people can agree on earth concerning anything they ask and it will be done for them is dangerous..

It asserts an idea that removes the Holy Spirit, and thus the Father and the Word [Yahushua], from the equation by implying that ‘the two in agreement’ is constituted simply by two individuals – when in fact the ‘two’ is comprised of the Holy Spirit + the spirit of the believer.

Ministries these days sadly are rife with prosperity doctrines.. seed-sowing.. church-planting and so much more that leaves out our Savior.. it’s good to remember the promise we have been given as believers on Him ‘..for He has said I will never leave you, nor forsake you’ and we know even when we are by ourselves we are never alone.. and that our prayers – even if solitary – which are in agreement with His Holy Spirit will certainly be given us by our Father in Heaven.

On the Rapture: Let’s Not Get Carried Away

Posted in 11 : Labor Pains with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 10/21/2010 by timenolonger

Many Christians who believe these are the last days view the events taking place in the world as imminent signs of a long awaited event wherein Messiah will make a preliminary appearance, to believers only, and remove them out of the Earth prior to tribulation.

This event called the “rapture” is possibly one of the most hotly debated doctrines in Christianity.

All doctrine learned of church leaders and denominations aside, it is not unimportant that we examine what scripture supports exist for or against an occurrence such as this.

If error exists in a believer’s judgment concerning the rapture, there is the real danger of being set up for serious deception regarding the end times in general.

Knowing that this time is described in terms of the sheer magnitude of deceptions which will ensnare the inhabitants of Earth, it is reasonable that such a dramatic event, which is so debated as the rapture of all believers, would play a central role in that one way or the other.

Should a rapture occur, the danger for those who were never looking for one would, hypothetically, be that any left behind would not, as a consequence, repent of what had disqualified them for it in the first place.

Should no rapture be forthcoming, the danger would be that those expecting one would lose faith as they began to experience the distress of tribulation events… or they would be easily deluded by a staged event meant to mimic a rapture.

There is probably no one on Earth, believer or otherwise, who would not be more than happy to be spared a period of time in the world that was matchless in its upheaval and suffering.

To be taken away from it all and transported to a place of safety and peace is an incredibly attractive idea. For many Christians, the idea of our Heavenly Father allowing His people to suffer along with the rest of the world is unthinkable.

This is the root of where a strong and nearly unmovable conviction for the doctrine of rapture originates. We believe in an Elohim of mercy and therefor it seems altogether unmerciful for there not to be a rapture to spare Christians the tribulation.

We can not let that be our reason, though.

Such a conclusion is drawn out of fear of facing such a horrific trial, and out of a sense of entitlement as a believer to be assured comfort rather than adversity.

A doctrine that we hold as truth can’t be built upon the sandy soil of perception and feeling. It must stand or fall on the rock foundation of His word only, regardless of how we end up liking or disliking the outcome.

The word “rapture” itself is a concern.

Often those who argue against the doctrine of rapture note, as support for their position, that the word is not anywhere in scripture.

That’s not my argument, as I take it as a fairly weak argument at best. The debate is not over a term, but over a concept that is simply summed up in a word.

The question is whether or not the concept is in scripture.

My concern with the word chosen to describe the concept is in the literal meaning of that word. Rapture… does not sum up a lot of very Christian ideas in its definition.

1. the state of mind resulting from feelings of high emotion; joyous ecstasy

2. (often plural) an expression of ecstatic joy

3. the act of transporting a person from one sphere of existence to another, esp from earth to heaven

(tr) Archaic or literary to entrance; enrapture

[from Medieval Latin raptura, from Latin raptus rapt1]

Feelings of high emotions… ecstasy. Every temptation and deception of Satan has always targeted a manipulation of emotions. The ability to create states of pointless euphoria has always been the lure of every sinful act.

By becoming “enraptured”, we’re deceived by and addicted to sin. In essence, to be raptured is literally to “get carried away”.

If that seems much too critical of a mere word which is used to describe an event of being taken away from the suffering of the tribulation… then readers are free to ignore it, but lets examine the definition by which it is defined as doctrine.

“the act of transporting a person from one sphere of existence to another, esp from earth to heaven.”

By all reason… we are to understand this as believers not dying, but being given incorruptible bodies and being taken from Earth into Heaven.

Likewise, the dead who believed on Messiah are also to be returned to their bodies and taken up Bodily with those who were still living.

Clearly all believers taken in the rapture are removed in physical form… not as spirits, yet they are removed to Heaven… a place or state/place understood by most Christians to be a Spiritual abode.

To what dimension or realm do these believers get raptured to where physicality in a human body is sustainable?

That is not a question to discredit the idea of physical locations in Heaven… but one to galvanize some thought on the condition of the resurrected, or perfected, human state which is particularly designed to be sustained in a future perfected Earth.

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and there was no more sea.

Then I, Yahuchanan, saw the sacred city, New Yeruwshalaim, coming down out of heaven from Yahuwah, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold! The tent of Yahuwah is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.

Yahuwah Himself will be with them and be their ‘Eloah.”

– Revelation 21:1-3

The origin of the doctrine of the rapture… (note: the origin of the Doctrine, not the Word) dates back only to around the early 1700’s. It was supported and preached by Cotton Mather who is also notable as being an integral participant in the Salem Witch Trials.

This idea was picked up and popularized later by other protestant pastors… particularly Edward Irving who preached a twofold return of Messiah such as many believers accept today.

The doctrine of the rapture is a fairly recent one, and does not date to the original church in the first centuries after Messiah came.

All these points aside now… here are the verses which are quoted in support of the rapture:

“For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Master will by no means precede those who are asleep.

For the Master Himself will descend from the sky with a shout, with the voice of a high messenger, and with the trumpet of Yahuwah, and the dead in the Anointed will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air.

And thus we shall always be with the Master.”

– 1 Thessalonians 4: 15-17

The words “caught up” here are those which are used to translate to “rapture”…Harpazo: to seize or catch up or away.

In these verse, the most heavily relied upon to argue in favor for a rapture… we do not actually read anything which states that a pre-tribulation rapture is what is being described here.

What is being described in the return of Messiah, the resurrection of the dead who belong to Him, and the transformation of mortal bodies of believers into incorruptible bodies.

If those bodies are then brought up to meet Messiah and fellow saints “in the clouds”… is that to be taken to mean they are “transported to heaven”?

Do we normally Truly view the location of Elohim’s throne and the abode of angels as the cloudy atmosphere of Earth?

The timing of what is described here is not clearly mentioned… however if one continues reading past these verses we see:

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I should write to you for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Master so comes as a thief in the night.

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman and they shall not escape.

But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should overtake you as a thief.

You are all sons of light and sons of the day.

We are not of the night nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep as others, but let us watch and be sober.”

– 1 Thessalonians 5: 1-6

Here is a pointed warning to be watchful and sober, but the warning is not be watchful for an impending rapture… but the chaotic events of the tribulation.

It would be reasonable to be watchful for those things… observable events which would prelude a return of Messiah. How can one, after all, be watchful for an event which is by definition sudden and without warning, preceding any tribulation, such as the rapture would be.

“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Then two will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left.

Two grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left.

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master is coming.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

– Matthew 24:38-44

Here, it is often said is a description of rapture… “one taken… the other left”.

Is this realistically a portrait of a favorable event for those who are “taken” though? “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

If this is the comparison… then we cannot surely say that these who were swept away in the flood were met with favorable circumstances.

Further, the description goes on to make a comparison to a master of a house which is “broken into” by a thief… again, not a favorable outcome for the master of the house.

Other verses referred to in support of a pre-tribulation rapture event are those which mention the transformation of the mortal body into the incorruptible form:

“As the man of dust, so also those of dust, and as is the celestial, so also those celestial.

And as we have borne the image of the dust, we shall also bear the image of the celestial.

Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of Yahuwah nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold! I tell you a mystery! We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.

For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.”

– 1 Corinthians 15: 48-52

Certainly, there is no room for denial in scripture that there will be a bodily transformation of living believers at the coming of Messiah, or that those who have died in Him will be raised, likewise, incorruptible.

No mention is ever attached to references of this event preceding tribulation on Earth, or that there are appearances of Messiah prior to His final judgment before the millennial reign, though.

With the publication of a series of popular Christian books called “Left Behind”, the belief in a doctrine of rapture saw a manifold increase.

These books covered a fictional account of future prophetic fulfillment on the subject of the end times. The lengthy story begins with pre-tribulation rapture events wherein multitudes of believers all over the world are suddenly and inexplicably missing.

Unbelievers who have been left behind have only the recollection of what their missing loved ones told them of the rapture to come to a conclusion about what has happened. As a result, many become saved, accepting, finally, what the missing believers had told them.

Apart from making the doctrine of rapture a central theme to the story, Left Behind also strongly relies on a position of staunch political Zionism to interpret the fulfillment of end times prophecy.

Many Christians who have never attempted to read the entire Bible have, nonetheless, read these books. As a result, multitudes of spiritually immature believers have come to treat these fictional stories as if they were prophecy themselves.

It might be prudent to give the benefit of the doubt to the authors of these books, Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, as having ‘done their best’ and with no intention to skew the perception of the millions of Christians and non-Christians who read them… but for the very questionable background of one of the authors in particular.

Tim LaHaye, an evangelical minister founded an organization known as the Council for National Policy of CNP.

This organization, upon hearing the basic description provided by the same, sounds at once like one which is dedicated to everything Christian values can be said to be.

There is, however, a very familiar air to the workings of the group, which not only mirror the sort of secretive, “behind closed doors” operations that we have come to expect of Masonic societies and government agencies, but have been branded the conservative counterpart to the Council on Foreign Relations.

The CFR, as many of us are well aware, is an extremely exclusive think tank of globalist elites who attempt to steer the nations policies toward a one world governement.

It is not at all unlike the controllers to put forth two sides of every issue and to control them both… this has been a very long standing game plan of theirs and can be seen in action in the two main political parties, ‘left’ and ‘right’ controlled media… etc.

It is far more efficient to their goals to provide at least two camps for the public to choose from and adhere to, rather than one, obvious target which can be easily seen for what it is and countered.

The wealthiest and most powerful conservatives in the country belong to the CNP.

The membership list is not made public and admission to the group is by invitation only… much like the CFR and Bohemian Grove. No guests are permitted, except by unanimous approval of the executives of the organization.

No matter their supposed “reasons”… we must seriously question any organization which conducts their business apart from the scrutiny of the public and which is geared toward being a serious influence on the governing of the country. This behavior is directly contrary to any notion of “We The People”.

Aside from secrecy… Tim LaHaye’s organization has gladly received million of dollars of funding from none other than Rev. Sun Myung Moon, leader of the Unification Church… for those not familiar with Reverend Moon, he ascribes to himself a status of being messiah himself.

No true believer in Yahushua would ever accept a position of affiliation or receive support from someone who literally took on themselves the title of a pseudo messianic figure.

With these things in mind, it is reasonable to question the true intention of the publication of the Left Behind series which have so “enraptured” so many believers.

With such strong political and anti-Christian ties… might we not wonder if these books were published precisely for the purpose of misleading Christians about what can and should be expected in true fulfillment of end times prophecy?

It is always… without fail… a 100% error to lean on the understanding of men instead of seeking the truth of His word directly.

How many have and will fall victim to an end times deception which includes erroneous expectation of pre-tribulation rapture?

Among many pieces of the puzzle which are falling into place in these days is a very serious trend toward a belief and interest in extraterrestrials, and much of this recent excitement on the matter is focused on a spiritually benevolent aspect of alien visitation.

We should also not allow ourselves to be unaware that mankind possesses technology capable of both projecting realistic images in sky, and realistic synthesized emotion and vocal messages directly to human brains.

If it seems somehow highly unlikely that all these things are the present contributors to a future “strong delusion”… then perhaps that disbelief makes an excellent foundation for just that.

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish because they did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved.

And for this reason Yahuwah will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie,”

Just How Christian Is The Cross?

Posted in 02 : The Truth Is Out There... with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 09/16/2010 by timenolonger

The cross… it is one of the most readily recognized symbols all over the world. It is emblematic of Christianity and understood by most anyone who sees it as a sign of Messianic sacrifice on behalf of a sinful world.

Believers wear it and display it in solidarity with their Savior and His people, but are believers making a serious mistake in their understanding of what this symbol really means?

At a time when many Christians are coming to understand that much of what they have been taught by their leaders throughout the years has been misleading and even deceptive, the symbol of the cross itself is brought into question.

Anyone sincerely determined to have the whole truth can not allow themselves to be in denial when it comes to the appearance of this symbol and where it is found in history.

It is without reasonable doubt that the symbol we know as being related to our Savior did not have its first appearance in religion at the advent of Christianity.

The symbol we are familiar with, having two lines bisecting one another in some form, roughly like a lowercase “t”, is an ancient one, the depictions of which make appearances in a wide variety of pagan traditions.

That being the case, we have a duty to know all the facts and find out: just how Christian is the cross?

The Cross in Pagan Cultures

What can be revealed with fairly little effort is that the symbol of crossing lines goes back thousands of years. One of the most well known of these symbols comes from Egypt.

The ankh stood for fertility, eternal life and the act of Heaven intervening on Earth to the effect of producing “life”.

Whether these things can be simplified in an agricultural sense or not (the passing of seasons bringing seed-time and harvest, the flooding of the Nile, etc) it is hard to miss the definitive similarity the ideas connected with the ankh bear to those connected with the Christian cross.

A similar figure, known as the Tau (after the Greek letter it resembles: appearing like a Capital T) has been associated with like connotations.

Being related to a number of deities such as the Sumerian Tammuz, the Roman Mithras and his Persian counterpart Mithra.

Solar Cross Sunwheel

The symbol of the “sunwheel” or solar cross is yet another example, a derivation of which can be seen in what is known as a Celtic cross.

This symbol also correlates to cycles of rejuvenation… a returning “sun god” who resurrects life each spring, as well as celestial cycles of the “spheres” which return back to their beginning (bringing a “new age”) with each full turn, much like annual seasonal cycles.

The “Saviors” of Pagan Cultures

The similarity of the ideas embedded in the pagan cross symbols to what is understood as Christian exclusive beliefs does not end at the symbols themselves.

The “gods” which were often connected to these cross-like themes also bore a disconcerting resemblance to ideas we associate with Messiah.

Mithras, sometimes surnamed “Sol Invictus” is considered a confusing personality in the Roman pantheon, as there is very little extant information about the cult of Mithraism, and the deity seems remarkably out of place amongst the much more antiquated figures of the Roman-Olympian pantheon.

The Roman worship of this “Mithras” came about very late in game… well after the crucifixion of Messiah.

The puzzle is resolved in understanding that Mithras was not a Roman deity at all, but a borrowed Zoroastrian deity, originally named Mithra or Mithra-yazata.

The name Mithra means “binding oath”. He is also titled thus by his followers: the lofty, and the everlasting, the Yazad (divinity) of the spoken name, and “the holy,”.

With a little background information regarding the rebel angels, known in scripture as the Watchers, we can identify who Mithra actually is.

The 200 rebellious Watchers are recorded in 1 Enoch to have made a “binding oath” upon MT Hermon to seal their mutual culpability for their planned crimes against humanity.

It was also a widely held tradition in Hebrew lore than the leader of this faction, Shemyhaza, taught his own wife how to pronounce the “spoken Name” of YHWH.

Yazidi 1920sThe title which is attributed to such beings “Yazad”, can be seen to be mirrored in the strange cult known as the Yazidi, who worship a pantheon of angels.

Yazidi Melek TausThe top ranking among the Yazidi pantheon is Melek Taus (the peacock angel), who can also be identified with the same leader of the rebel Watchers.

Both Yazidi tradition and some Hebrew folklore claim this being regretted his errors and the Hebrew legends claim he voluntarily hung himself “between Heaven and Earth”… or is some state of limbo between the physical and spiritual realms.

There are no scriptural indications of his state of punishment being voluntary, but the same theme of this fallen angel being “hung” up on a tree or “cosmic pillar” in some manner of self sacrifice can be traced throughout multiple cultures and even in a modern deck of tarot cards.

The Manichaean equivalent – Mihr yazd, was regarded as a savior figure who was hung on a tree. Likewise the Norse Odin, who hung himself on the world tree. In Babylonian legend, Tammuz was killed by crucifixion at the hand of his own consort (and/ or mother), buried and resurrected. The act was memorialized in Phrygian culture by crucifying an effigy of a man on a “sacred” pine tree each year.

"Hanged Man" Tarot CardThe annual mourning for Tammuz was rampant among Semitic cultures. Krishna, Prometheus and multiple other instances also mirror the same idea… self sacrifice and hanging.

The theme can be seen reflected in the “hanged man” of the tarot deck as well… a card of the major arcana which is nicknamed, interestingly enough, both “the traitor” and ‘the martyr”.

The authentic background of this being would suggest that he was indeed hung (head down… not in a traditional cruciform pose) in a subterranean prison, but there is nothing to suggest that his sentence was voluntary or an act of self sacrifice.

1 Enoch is clear in saying that he and his subordinates were all imprisoned quite against their will by YHWH’s faithful angels, whether they had regrets or not.

All the same… there is a familiar theme here which often becomes an excuse for non-believers to dismiss the validity of what Yahushua did, claiming these legends as proof positive that neither the cross nor the act done on it was original to Christianity.

Chronology is the issue… that these tales and symbols precede the crucifixion of Messsiah seems to validate such claims of origin for them.

What non-believers (and many Christians) fail to understand is that:

1… the promise of a Savior was made to mankind immediately after their fall in Eden and before any written record or division of religious beliefs existed anywhere on Earth.

2… the angels, including the rebel angels, were also privy to the knowledge of the expectation of a Messiah and the element of self sacrifice which would be involved.

3… rebel angels and their offspring actively sought to counterfeit the position and the promises of the Almighty, and

4… the rebel Watchers have always held the position of representing the “right hand”, as Satan’s faction has always taken the position of the “left hand”… creating the illusion of rivalry, when in actuality, both oppose YHWH.

The Real Savior

Yahushua does not leave us in hopeless confusion over His uniqueness next to the look-a-like legends before Him.

He did not conveniently fail to address the fact that there were pagan traditions of “saviors” who had gone before. Yahushua clearly states the truth regarding the distinction between Himself and these heathen beliefs.

“Most assuredly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.

Iam the door.

If anyone enters by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

I am the good shepherd.

The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”

– John 10:7-11

Though we may be used to thinking of Antichrist as the last, great, diabolical world leader… the term has a broader meaning as well.

The term anti-christ is more properly translated “pseudo-christ”… not an opposite… a counterfeit, and the spirit of pseudo-christ, we are told in scripture, has been here and will continue to be here until Messiah returns.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of Yahuwah, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

By this you know the Spirit of Yahuwah. Every spirit that confesses that Yahushua the Anointed has come in the flesh is of Yahuwah, and every spirit that does not confess that Yahushua the Anointed has come in the flesh is not of Yahuwah.

And this is the spirit of the anti-Anointed One that you have heard was coming and is now already in the world.

You are of Yahuwah, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

– 1 John 4:1-4

Was He Really Killed on a “Cross”?

An integral part of the debate about the “Christianness” of the cross symbol is whether or not the actual structure on which Yahushua was killed was, in fact, shaped like what we recognize as a cross.

After coming by information on the pagan usage of the symbol, it is often natural to then have doubts about whether our Savior would have been found hanging on something which resembled these symbols.

Roman crucifixion, contrary to popular assumption, was not always carried out on only one type of structure.

The “crucifix” went through phases of transition, and different forms of the structure were utilized for the various ways in which they would cause specific types of pain and death.

Crucifixion itself did not originate with the Romans, but reaches far back in antiquity and originates as literal hanging upon a live tree.

The mention of this type of crucifixion is made in Deuteronomy:

“If a man has committed a sin deserving of death and he is put to death and you hang him on a tree, his body shall not remain overnight on the tree but you shall surely bury him that day.

Whoever is hanged is cursed by ‘Elohiym, so do not defile the land that Yahuwah your ‘Eloah gives you as an inheritance.”

– Deut 21:22,23

and revisited in Galatians…

“The Anointed has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)..”

– Galatians 3:13

Referred to in historical records as “arbor infelix” or the unfortunate tree… the custom was in heathen cultures, to hang a convicted person upon a tree which had been dedicated to a “god”.

This manner of execution, no doubt, has a similar origin as the legends of the “hanging god-savior”…  the difference in how this idea is treated between the Hebrew and pagan nations is illustrated in the fact that the pagan cultures were reverencing this false messianic being, whereas YHWH reminds His people that to be hanged on a tree in this way is to be cursed as the rebel angel was who defied Him.

Then why would Yahushua in this way be cursed and hung in like manner on any type of “tree”?

Because He came as the true Messiah to literally bear the curse of YHWH for all the world’s sins.

He bore a curse for our sakes.

The Roman manner of crucifixion in its various forms also had various names for the structures used to crucify victims. The “Crux Immissa” was in the form of what most recognize as a “cross”…the lowercase “t”. The “Crux Decussata” was in the form of an X. The “Crux Commissa” was in the form of the “Tau” cross… a Capital “T” form and the “Crux Simplex” was simply one pole in the ground.

It is debated in favor of the idea that Yahushua was crucified on a crux simplex, a single pole in the ground, on the basis of the word used for cross in the New Testament… which is “stauros”, literally meaning “a stake”.

It should be noted, though, that the Greek terminology which referred to a crux simplex was usually “mono stauros” (single stake), rather than stauros.

Evidence of Crucifix Form Used

Whereas the symbol normally used in Christianity is a crux immissa, and those opposing this form often favor the crux simplex, evidence has it that neither are right.

Historically and archeologically speaking… the form of the crucifix structure most often used at the time and place of Yahushua’s death was the crux commissa, the tau form crucifix.

Depending upon the type of structure it might take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for a person who was crucified to die. Scourging prior to crucifixion (which was normal procedure) would impact that length of time as well, due to shock and great amounts of blood being lost.

The hands by themselves would not support the weight of the victim, but a nail through the wrists would in any position. On a crux simplex, the hands would be brought together above he head, while on a form with a cross beam, the victim would be hung loosely by a wrist from each side, not so the arms would project straight out from the body but would be raised in a Y formation above the head.

Though it is often claimed that inhaling would be difficult crucified on a structure with a horizontal beam, this is actually not the case. Instead, the diaphragm is forced down and exhaling is what requires an active effort… making the victim unable to do so without pushing themselves up with their feet. Death was often hastened by breaking the legs of the victims, which could cause death by shock or embolism and not by asphyxiation alone, regardless of the cruciform structure.

The Roman soldiers overseeing the crucifixion of Yahushua and other victims on the same day, sought to hasten their deaths by breaking their legs, which might have come (for the other victims at least) hours or days later. The surprise with which they discovered Yahushua to already be dead implies a structure being used which should have taken more time than it had to kill Him.

It is reasonable that this was not a crux simplex form since this form, putting greater pressure on the diaphragm than the types with cross beams, would take less time to cause death. The real cause of His death is perhaps more accurately understood as one brought on by the severity of spiritual trauma which affected Him physically, rather than being purely physical in nature.

An entire crux simplex post, weighing anywhere from 200 to 300 lbs, would have been incredibly difficult if not impossible for a man to haul up a hill by himself after first being beaten.

A cross beam or “patibulum” was often carried by the victim, however… this weighing between 70 and 100 lbs.

Although the depictions of crux commissa and crux immissa forms are sometimes attributed to the highly paganized influence of Catholicism, the first specific descriptions recorded of the structure on which Yahushua was crucified were written down 200 years prior to Constantine’s rule. Those descriptions describe it as a crux commissa, a tau cross.

Should Believers Regard the Cross as Christian or Pagan?

The controversy surrounding what type of crucifix structure Yahushua was killed on is strongly influenced by the idea that Messiah could not be associated with any symbol which had been used in heathen cultures.

What we tend to forget in that line of thinking is that the Romans were, of course, pagan people. The practice of crucifixion was a pagan oriented form of execution, reminiscent of an event which was synonymous with the wrath of YHWH, but which pagan cultures spun their own messianic stories from.

The question of Christian or pagan becomes an issue of what came first.

What came first was the plan of YHWH of course… that predating anything which heathen people did, recorded or depicted in reverence to false messiahs.

If we must equate the cross form with heathen ideals, then what do we make of false elohim who have been called shepherds, fishers and crucified saviors? What form of crucifix would have been less pagan and a more comfortable fit with Christianity when nearly every imaginable shape and form (including every shape a crucifix could be) has been implemented at some point in ideographic reference to a pagan “god”?

The decision to wear, display or otherwise use the cross as identifying with Christianity might not be rightly decided based on whether or not one can find any non Christian usage of it, but rather a conclusion based on what the structure on which Yahushua was crucified really means.

Does it stand for the wrath of YHWH poured out on sin… or does it stand for the redemption from that sin which Yahushua provided?

Obviously, that can be a very complex question worth its own discussion… but we might think twice about displaying a cross if its true connotation is wrath rather than mercy.

As for how I might answer this, at least in my current understanding (which might always change and hopefully for the better) … I understand mercy as having the last word. The instrument of the cross has been the mode of YHWH’s wrath, and yet that wrath poured out upon the One True Savior has resulted in mercy… the result which no false shepherd has ever achieved.

The Nature of Yahushua

Posted in 01 : The Chief Cornerstone with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 06/01/2010 by timenolonger

Isaiah 44:6 – “Thus says YHWH, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, YHWH of hosts: I am the first and I am the last, And there is no Elohim besides Me.”

There is debate in the Christian Community over the nature of Yahushua, and what exactly the “Holy Trinity” is. Many Christians are quick to say Yahushua is Elohim, but then claim He and The Father are separate persons somehow.

They preach a doctrine that claims there is One Elohim, but that Elohim is made up of three different people. An example would be there is one senate and 100 senators.

Before the Council of Nicea in 325 AD the doctrine of the trinity was not universally accepted by all the various Christian bishops. When the Constantine organized the first “Orthodox” church there were votes about many things that would be accepted into Constantine’s church, and the trinity doctrine was one of them.

By majority vote it was declared that Yahushua was not YHWH, but rather 1/3 of the “Godhead”.

My purpose is to use the scripture which, along with prayer, should be the bases for what the Christian religion teaches. I believe the answer is in the scripture to what doctrine is true, and what is the traditions of men or attempts by men to use religion for personal gain.

As far as the Christian (in reality, the universal) Elohim goes, no Christian will deny that He created the heavens and the earth. This is taught in the bible in Genesis….

Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.”

In Genesis they use Elohim, which is a title and not specific. Further reading into Genesis reveals that the “Elohim” used in Genesis 1:1 is YHWH. In the New Testament there is a short account of Creation, and a clue to who Yahushua is. It’s found in the Book of John….

John 1:1-4 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim and the Word was Elohim. He was in the beginning with Elohim. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.”

John suggests here that the Elohim in Genesis was Yahushua. John writes “the Word was Elohim” the Word being Yahushua of course. At the time of Genesis, the Flesh of YHWH which is Yahushua was not yet created.

He was still in Spirit. The nature of Elohim is Spirit, and not Flesh. But so the material world could see Him, YHWH Who is Spirit became Flesh.

Material Fleshy eyes for the most part cannot see spirit, and because of this could not see YHWH. He appeared in Flesh to teach, heal, and then sacrifice for the sins of the world in the ultimate act of love, self sacrifice.

Just as our physical bodies are hosts to our spirits, in the same was is Yahushua the Physical Body for YHWH.

John 14:9 – “Yahushua said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, `Show us the Father?”

This statement is clear “He who has seen Me has seen the Father”. Again in John Yahushua says

John 10:30 – “I and the Father are one.”

It is written in Colossians…

Colossians 1:15-17 – He is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Perhaps people do not realize YHWH was still omnipresent while teaching through Yahushua. When Yahushua taught in Matthew 6:9 he said…

Matthew 6:9 – “Pray, then, in this way: `Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name.”

YHWH was teaching through Yahushua, and in heaven at the same time. His omnipresence didn’t compromise while in the Flesh. The prayer was meant for all generations of faithful, so when we pray we are praying to Him who has since ascended into heaven.

Some will argue that, because of Yahushua’s words in Matthew 27:46..

Matthew 27:46 – “About the ninth hour Yahushua cried out with a loud voice, saying, “ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” that is, “MY ELOHIM, MY ELOHIM, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

Yahushua and YHWH are two different people, and Yahushua was calling upon Him. First off, the omnipresent YHWH is the Father and Creator of the Flesh Body Yahushua. Secondly it never occurs to anyone that Yahushua is reciting Psalm 22…

Psalm 22:1 – “My Elohim, my Elohim, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.”

YHWH is the Author, and Yahushua is the Author writing Himself into the Story. Writing the story and in the story at the same time. There is only One Elohim, and that theme is consistent throughout scripture.

Exodus 20:2-3 – “I am YHWH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before Me.

What is also consistent in scripture is the fact that YHWH should not and will not share His glory with another. He is the Creator. There is only One.

Scripture supports this, but men and demons alike have been know to issue forth tainted doctrines in order to confuse. Many who claim to accept the trinity doctrine admit its confusing, and doesn’t add up.

The answer is simple. Yahushua and YHWH are One.

Who Dies for a Lie?

Its interesting to ponder how many rich and powerful rulers through the ages have claimed to be “gods” – but they are lucky to be remembered at all in this day and age.

Acts 5: 34 – 39 – “But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.

And he said to them, Men of Israel, take care what you propose to do with these men. For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men joined up with him.

But he was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census and drew away some people after him. He too perished, and all those who followed him were scattered.

So in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will be overthrown, but if it is of Elohim, you will not be able to overthrow them, or else you may even be found fighting against Elohim.”

The practice of deifying kings and emperors was pretty common in the ancient east, and to a lesser extent was practiced by the ancient Romans.

All the Egyptian pharaohs were supposed to be divine, but how many pharaohs can be named by the average person?

Its curious that none of these men are worshiped today by the vast majority of people (maybe there are still some who go to the forest and light candles for king Tut).

Yet polls suggest that 33% of the world worship Yahushua as Elohim two thousand years after His death.

Yahushua to many was a poor carpenter’s son born in an obscure part of Roman Palestine, and not Elohim Incarnate.

Some people will reason that He was a great teacher, but not Elohim.

I think C.S Lewis puts this theory to rest in these words….

“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: ‘I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.’

That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell.

You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse.

You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher.

He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

So if He can’t be a great moral teacher, He either has to be who He claims to be, or He is lying or insane.

The problem is, He is worshiped still.

On top of that, He didn’t have the resources other people who claimed to be divine had. What He did have was truth though.

Truth can’t be hidden.

Many people died testifying that Yahushua is Elohim. Many of these people could have had their lives spared if they simply renounced what they preached.

These men chose death. The reason being – they knew they were dying for the truth.

We modern believers can feel His spirit, and our own souls testify to His truths.

Who would die for a lie?
