Two Sons

Yahushua sat down to dinner with sinners and tax collectors.

The self-righteous of the day protested, but of course we know He came for just such a thing, to offer up a way of healing and a way of reconciliation – not for those who felt they ‘had it all together’, but for those who were, and knew they were, the worst of the lot and in need of some remedy.

Some stood ready to execute the full penalty of the Law on a woman who had been immersed in sexual sin… but Yahushua reminded those willing to dole out justice without mercy that they too had sins, and instead of stoning her, He offered her hope of forgiveness.

Ninevah would have been consumed in the wrath of YHWH. but for their repentance and His mercy, which greatly displeased Jonah, the messenger of their doom.

Repeatedly we see the demonstration of meaning in the words “I will have mercy and not sacrifice”. Repeatedly He shows that it is His mission to restore the un-restorable, to heal the hopelessly broken and to even turn back the irreversible sting of death, usually to the indignation and confounding of individuals who see themselves as much more worthy of His notice.

Unfortunately people do not often think the way He thinks or value what He values, and oftentimes it is believers who become the least willing to sit with the tax collectors or pardon the adulteress, or rejoice over the repentance of those who have been guilty of great wrongs.

What I read of His ability to have love for His creation is really something that goes beyond almost all comprehension. He says, of all things… to love your enemies.

That’s not easy to do, let’s not fool ourselves… it is one thing to say “i love everyone”, but it’s a completely different concept put into action. Not just an idea or a feeling, ‘loving an enemy’ means actively participating in good will towards them… praying for them, earnestly desiring their salvation and well being.

How easy is it to visit murderers on death row and try to bring them, not just a sermon, but an obvious display of compassion and concern? Now imagine trying to visit one in prison who had murdered your own child and show them compassion and concern.

We must be careful where we begin to justify withholding mercy, because as long as this age endures, He has set no limitations upon the degree of evil He is willing to forgive… or the degree of sinner He is willing to love.

What degree of sinner would be justified in His sight if there was a limit?

He is the standard of perfection for which we are to strive… we won’t be perfect in this age of the reign of sin, but all the same, we have no excuse for not making it our goal.

If our enemies are to be loved by us, and His enemies are loved by Him, being the standard of that perfect mercy…there must be no fallen being which is not included in that command, up to and including Satan.

If it comes as a horrific shock to hear that any believer should have “love” for the devil – then that shock comes from a place of having heard the attitude set forth throughout churches and by pastors of justified malice towards, at least, That enemy… being the most wicked enemy anyone has.

The attitude of malice towards that greatest of enemies is not present in scripture.

We are certainly warned to not invite him into our lives… to not model ourselves after him, to not take part in his temptations or fall under his control – but we are never commanded to despise him. Even Michael knew better than to use venomous words against him.

I do not predict that the Devil will ever repent… but that is a complete guess on my part based on the best evidence I have, and I don’t have all the evidence there is to have.

I do know that He created an angel, who later became Satan, and if He cares for sparrows, He has certainly cared for him. Even Satan is worth my hopes that he should find repentance, however small that possibility is.

As for fallen angels in general, I hold to a belief of the possibility of their repentance that does not go down well with most believers.

I’ve come up against a multitude of arguments persuading against it, and yet have never encountered an argument from a scriptural source which could utterly negate the possibility.

At best, there is the opinion that it’s just not even discussed in scripture, and while that’s true in the sense of a direct address of the subject… I’ve at least found better evidence of it addressed in parable and theme than any similar evidence to the contrary.

A really interesting section of Luke draws my attention on the matter… well known as the parable of the prodigal son:

“A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against the sky and before you and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”‘

And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against the sky and in your sight and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry, for this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you. I never transgressed your commandment at any time and yet you never gave me a young goat that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'”
– Luke 15:11-32

We might be inclined to think of the younger and older sons in terms of chronology of origin, perhaps putting angels in the place of the older sibling… but this is a parable concerning a right standing relationship to the Father – and there’s no sense speculating that holy angels are irritable towards humanity’s repentance, as obviously it states that there is great rejoicing by them when one sinner repents.

Other than holy angels, all other beings are in need of reconciliation to obtain a right standing with Him, and that reconciliation was no doubt offered first and foremost to mankind.

Who could have been said to have taken a long journey into a “foreign country”, carrying with them the inheritance of the Father which fell to them and squandering it on sinful living?

Fallen angels have done this, and maybe it most starkly resembles the circumstances surrounding the Watchers’ rebellion. Now far removed from their native habitation, fallen angels exist as degraded, filthy and desperate sinners… figuratively wallowing in the pig pen, and spiritually starving for lack of the relationship to their Father in which they were created to thrive.

If one should “come to their senses” and repent, it is not difficult to see how the expectation of their best hope might be to return to their Father, not with the status of a son, but a hired servant.

The older sibling can then be likened to mankind… for whom the promise of a Savior has been established since the first man fell.

The repentance of a fallen angel would work on a different dynamic than a human… it would be comparable to the faith of the Canaanite woman who begged Yahushua to free her daughter from demonic possession:

“And behold, a woman of Kena’an came from that region and cried out to Him saying, “Have mercy on me, O Master, Son of Dawiyd! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’el.”

Then she came and worshiped Him saying “Master, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Master, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then Yahushua answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
– Matthew 15: 22-28

Indeed… the food of the table belongs to the children, yet the dogs are not denied the crumbs.

Mercy

Only taking into account the reception that the prospect of angelic redemption receives in the Christian community, I am starkly reminded of that older sibling’s smug dismissal of the idea that this “unworthy” brother of his should, not only be welcomed back to the household, but welcomed back with great relief and much rejoicing by his Father.

Unfortunately, just like that older son, many allow their status as redeemed to be a point of personal pride to them. It is hard within the sin nature to divorce oneself from that urge of ego to take credit for one’s own salvation – the very same problem which begets believers who lean towards a “salvation by works” error.

If then, knowing the truth… that not one of us are worthy of the mercy He shows us, that there is nothing anyone could have done for themselves or for Him by their own power to acquire redemption… how differently ought we to regard the lost – of any persuasion – knowing that if not for His grace, we ourselves would be no better off?

Wolves in the Sheep Fold

Posted in 02 : The Truth Is Out There... with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 05/06/2010 by timenolonger

It is a terrible shame that in these days of great deception and confusion, when His flock is most in need of mature and capable ministers of His word that, instead, the shepherds are such a disappointment.

Perhaps, somewhere out there, there is a little shack of a church with a tiny congregation who is dedicated to seeking hard after His truth, no matter where it leads, but i have no knowledge of it if it exists.

Instead, i see everywhere, churches that are dedicated to increasing their following, increasing their wealth and increasing the sizes of their buildings.

In the average church building you will never hear mention of the day of YHWH that is fast approaching us.

You will never find their leaders calling their people to fast and repent and rend the garments of their hearts before their Elohim.

Even wicked Nineveh knew how to repent. (Jonah Ch.3)

These churches do not challenge their congregations to understand the nature of what is happening in this world, or the evil controlling it, or how to walk out of that Babylon.

They do not mention words like antichrist, new world order or nephilim.

The leaders of the churches of this age – either by choice or by ignorance – are steadfastly following the teachings of their “great men of faith”, but not the Everlasting Word of His Testimony.

Their teachers are men whose own goals and desires and understanding they do not know.

Yet, they should have recalled that YHWH calls a curse upon those who would trust in men rather than Him. These shepherds do not care to understand the very scriptures they are entrusted to teach.

You will hardly hear the bible read in a church but for one or two verses which are used to teach a message that should be common understanding for a child.

There is no attempt by believers of this age to bring to light true translations of scripture.

If the text they hold is called a bible, it is good enough – whether it is a horribly inaccurate translation, or nothing more than a paraphrased guess.

Even those who would condemn some bible versions would at the same time teach their congregations that the KJV is flawless.

But will they test it’s flawlessness against the original languages, or inform their people of inaccuracy where it is found, or even attempt to know by whom and for what purpose the KJV was compiled?

Where are the shepherds who will not accept such immaturity for themselves or their flock?

Where are those who have the boldness to tell whatever truth He has given, whether popular or not?

Are there none left who will challenge the seminary teacher’s new religion of soft faith?

His people are inadequately prepared for the coming tribulation because they have been robbed of the opportunity in their churches to be exposed to the great wealth of training He meant for them to have.

They have been trained to react with suspicion and fear toward any subject in scripture which does not get a mention inside their church buildings.

They are taught by design to want no more of the truth than what the elite rulers of the world would want them have – and this becomes less and less.

How many believers now know His word, read it daily, study it, and feed on it?

A majority might say they do, or do somewhat, if not as much as they should, but perhaps i would guess that most know and understand just as much of the scriptures as they have heard from the mouths and pens of pastors who are as incompetent in it as they themselves are.

There is no way to know His message without reading it, there is no teacher of it who has better understanding than His own Spirit.

When did His people forget this?

It could even be said to be worse than just ignorant teachers, for many of them have become wolves instead of just lazy shepherds.

Clergy all over the nation have been recruited under Homeland Security as part of what is termed the Clergy Response Team.

Your pastor will never mention he is a member, because the goal of this group is to convince their congregations to bow down before the government in all the oppression they wish to force upon the people.

Gun confiscations, mandatory identification, relocation to FEMA facilities, forced vaccinations and martial law are just some of those things to which Homeland Security has called upon these clergy members to lead their people to submit.

It would come as little surprise to me if those same members of the Clergy Response were in place to attempt to convince their followers to accept whatever mark or number the Beast has waiting for them.

“My people perish for lack of knowledge” He has said in times past.

It is time for His people to live for Him, and by Him, that they might at last live with Him.

It is perhaps passed the time for His people to forsake their childish shepherds, and their big churches, and begin to seek with all their might after His truth – and that alone.

Mercy as Big as He Is

Posted in 01 : The Chief Cornerstone with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 05/03/2010 by timenolonger

Maybe many just remember Jonah and his book for a story about being swallowed by a big fish. Jonah is a special book to me, though. In this record of a man who was given instructions by YHWH to take a message of judgment to a sinful people, there is great and unexpected mercy where perhaps we would instead expect condemnation.

If you have ever been in need of great mercy when you knew you had no right to expect it, as i have, the book of Jonah is for you.

Jonah is commanded to take a message of condemnation to Nineveh,

Now the word of Yahuwah came to Yonah, the son of ‘Amattay, saying, “Arise! Go to Niyneweh, that great city, and cry out against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.” -1:1,2

But instead, Jonah flees and boards a ship taking him in the opposite direction, He does not want the lot His Elohim has given to him. The consequences come with a storm which threatens to take the lives of all who are on the ship.

After praying to their own elohim and casting lots which fell on Jonah as the one responsible, they tried hard to find a way to spare him but at last reluctantly threw him overboard.

Because of these events, the pagan men who were aboard that ship witnessed first hand the power of YHWH, which resulted in them fearing Him, offering a sacrifice to Him and vowing vows to Him.

YHWH used these things which Jonah meant for selfish disobedience to turn these men who had been worshiping false elohim to Him. It is a show of mercy to those who had done nothing to deserve it which is maybe often missed in this book.

Jonah had become deserving of death for his disregard of the orders which His Elohim gave to him. A huge fish was prepared to devour him, and it did. Being swallowed whole and perhaps even experiencing death or near death for a time, Jonah had no reason to expect his death sentence would be reversed for any reason.

Still, Jonah hoped and prayed a desperate prayer in repentance, begging for His mercy.

“I cried out to Yahuwah because of my affliction and He answered me. Out of the belly of she’owl I cried. You heard my voice for You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me.

All Your billows and Your waves passed over me. Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight, yet I will look again toward Your sacred temple.’

The waters surrounded me, to my soul. The deep closed around me. Weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the moorings of the mountains, the earth with its bars behind me forever.

Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Yahuwah, my ‘Eloah. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahuwah, and my prayer went to You, into Your sacred temple.

Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own mercy, but I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of Yahuwah.”
– 2:2-9

YHWH answered repentance with mercy in a situation which seemed impossible, and which should have meant certain death. Jonah was expelled from the fish’s belly onto dry land.

He did not make the same mistake twice but went directly to do what YHWH commanded him this time, and took the message of condemnation to Nineveh.

The people of Nineveh were known for their sinful lifestyles, and were deserving of the punishment which had been promised them, but instead of pridefully ignoring the warning, they made a decision to believe Him, and to respond with a repentance which perhaps they felt was mostly without hope.

“So the people of Niyneweh believed in ‘Elohiym, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.

The word came to the king of Niyneweh and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, clothed himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

And he proclaimed and published throughout Niyneweh by the decree of the king and his nobles saying, “Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Do not let them eat or drink water.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth and cry mightily to ‘Elohiym. Yes! Let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands.

Who can tell if the ‘Elohiym will turn and relent and turn away from His fierce anger so that we may not perish?”
– 3:5-9

YHWH had condemned them, He did not tell them if they repented, that He would reverse their judgment, but yet His mercy prevailed over the condemnation that they deserved.

“Then the ‘Elohiym saw their works, that they turned from their evil way, and the ‘Elohiym relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them and He did not do it.”
– 3:10

Perhaps believers often respond to seeing great works of mercy upon those they do not think should receive it, upon those who have already seemed to have received a message of condemnation, just as Jonah responded to seeing His mercy on Nineveh.

“But it displeased Yonah exceedingly and he became angry. So he prayed to Yahuwah and said, “Ah, Yahuwah, was not this what I said when I was still in my country?

Therefore I fled previously to Tarshiysh for I know that You are a gracious and merciful ‘El, slow to anger and abundant in kindness, One who relents from doing harm. Therefore now, O Yahuwah, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!”

Then Yahuwah said, “Is it right for you to be angry?” So Yonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade till he might see what would become of the city.

And Yahuwah ‘Elohiym prepared a plant and made it come up over Yonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery.

So Yonah was very grateful for the plant. But as morning dawned the next day the ‘Elohiym prepared a worm and it damaged the plant that it withered.

And it happened, when the sun arose, that ‘Elohiym prepared a vehement east wind and the sun beat on Yonah’s head so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself and said, “It is better for me to die than to live.”

Then ‘Elohiym said to Yonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?” And he said, “It is right for me to be angry, even to death!”

But Yahuwah said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night.

And should I not pity Niyneweh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left and much livestock?”
– 4:1-11

But we should all realize that His mercy is as big as He is, and i am eternally grateful that it is.

The Test of Your Endurance

Posted in 01 : The Chief Cornerstone with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 04/29/2010 by timenolonger

How strong is your faith? How far will you go to prove out your trust in your Creator and Savior? The answer to that question should be… “as far as He leads me to go”.

Most believers will not object to that answer, most will concur and agree that it is their answer, but to what extent have believers pushed the boundaries of their imaginations to see into what it might mean in the near future to have one’s faith tested?

In the coming months and next few years we are likely going to witness a rapid and devastating decline into chaos on a multitude of levels in the world. What has never been a part of your life or most people’s lives in the civilized world might well become commonplace.

The inability to earn a living, the inability to obtain essential provisions, homelessness, detention, torture, threat of execution, disease, poisoning, war and natural disaster… this is a grim list of probable possibilities humanity is facing in the near future.

Without a Father in Heaven to look towards, the unbelieving masses will have only what things they can perceive in their material existence to draw upon in answer to such calamity.

Their answers will be few and insufficient… they will focus on survival of self, and ultimately fall short of that. The good news, if you are a believer in Him, is that you have a better option… an Almighty and Sovereign Elohim who knows of every sparrow who falls to the ground, and who, much beyond any sparrow, cares for you.

That is the truth every child of His is happy to hear, but there is more about trust in Him to consider than just in what ways you are benefited by it.

Trusting in Him Means Living It In Real Life

When we say we trust Him… this has to mean something. Trust is a will to action, we don’t take actions in our lives based upon things we do not believe will have the results we want, or the results which have been promised.

We don’t cross bridges when we can see that they are broken and likely to fall from beneath us, we don’t take medicine we think is likely to do no good or cause more harm than help.

It is interesting then, that in the arena of spiritual truths, many are so willing to say they trust their Creator and simultaneously refuse, or be hesitant, to take actions in their lives based on His promises.

If you found yourself employed in a position in which you began receiving orders to do things which were immoral and you knew that they were, you consequently would be convicted in your spirit by Him to leave that employment.

In the worldly aspect though, comes a conflict… you might begin to worry about how you will provide for your family, what sort of job you could find, and how quickly, to replace the one you left.

You might know in your mind and reflect upon how His promise was to provide for your needs, and that your commission is to seek first His Kingdom and yet, those worries and concerns in their worldly context lead you to justify the immoral actions you are being asked to perform, instead of obeying His voice.

Can you anymore claim to trust Him once your actions have established that you do not? This hypothetical situation could happen presently to anyone on any day, and the consequences of not trusting Him might be quite devastating, yet there is still a chance for a point of repentance… but what happens on the day that the choice to trust Him comes down to a final test of the metal of your faith, when the consequences of choosing wrongly are eternal?

Since the great popularity of a series of books entitled “Left Behind”… the body of believers in Him have, in great numbers, jumped upon a bandwagon of doctrine set forth in these books as if it had come from the pages of scripture itself.

It would seem that it is still the case now that most mainline “Christians” are awaiting a day in the near future where they will be swept away into the clouds by Messiah, prior to the great upheaval of a tribulation period in order that they might be spared from it.

This is a real feel-good doctrine. No one wants to imagine themselves living through hell on Earth and those who propose a pre-tribulation rapture event have a sense in their minds that Elohim would not put them through such a thing.

The reality of the matter does not look this way in scripture. There is exactly zero reference to any event which would spare believers from the tribulation in His Word. It is in fact, very pointedly made clear that He will put His people through the fire to test the sincerity of their resolve to be His.

And those of the people who understand shall instruct many. Yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help, but many shall join with them by intrigue. And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end, because it is still for the appointed time.
– Daniel 11:33-35

At that time Miyka’el shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people, and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book, and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. Some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the expanse and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniye’l, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase.”
– Daniel 12:1-4

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold, but he who endures to the end shall be saved.
– Matthew 24: 9-13

If you are a believer, ask yourself this day, how much your life proves that you trust Him… and ask yourself how hot of a fire you are willing to go through to prove your trust in Him.

We are approaching a time in history when those who dare speak His name will be condemned to death… when those who will not concede to the identifying credentials of the Beast and his system will be denied the ability to buy provisions or sell anything to anyone.

Have you reached a point of maturity in which you are prepared to face the last days? It is time to know the answer, and it is time that the little lambs still feeding on milk grow to rams capable of digesting the solid food of His truth.

If you are not a believer, understand that the path we walk is not for the faint of heart, but that we follow the One, the Only, and the Completely Trustworthy way to an eternal, imperishable reward and reconciliation to the Creator of all that exists.

You might have found an easier path on which to walk through this fallen world, but you have not found a genuine road to anything but an ultimately short and perishable existence in which is no fulfillment, meaning or peace.

Every second that passes is one second closer for you to the point of no return… i invite you to come find out why we are a people willing to lay it all on the line for someone named Yahushua.

If He says stand, be ready to stand, if He says speak, be ready to speak, if He says resist, be prepared to resist, and if He says “You will go into captivity to be thoroughly tested in the furnace.”, prepare your answer that it might it be “Yes, My King.” Endure to the end.

Possessing Spirits : Opportunistic Spiritual Invaders

Posted in 06 : Possessing Spirits with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 04/21/2010 by timenolonger

Putting aside all Hollywood education on the matter of possession… this is a serious and a real phenomenon which has not only persisted in the modern age but has increased incrementally as the last days have drawn nearer.

Fallen spirits are literally everywhere… they control geo-political domains, areas of societal influence, specific sin, specific family lines and individuals.

We are accustomed to hearing a simplistic definition of what a spirit is who can possess human beings… most frequently the answer given is that they are fallen angels, but this only defines one type of spirit that has the ability to take over a host body.

Types of Possessing Spirits

Fallen angelic – this is the most well known unclean spirit which can enter a host. these are by far the most powerful though they range in power according to their class and rank. There are several types of beings which are all familiarly called “angels” in modern English although the term technically refers to only one class. Fallen angles act as the generals of the Satanic army with lesser types of spirits working in positions under them.

Nephil- The departed spirits of Nephilim are what are in all technical correctness, called demons. These are the spirits of angelic/human hybrids who have died and are not bound by the normal human laws of where a normal human spirit should reside after departing the body. They have a craving to return to a bodily existence and this drives their motivation to attempt to possess more so than even a loyalty to the cause of their master to destroy the lives of living human beings.

Daeva Chimera – Another hybrid creature who is a combination of beast and angel… human/beast chimeras do not have spirits which continue to roam earth, but those who were partially angelic have a spirit which can. These normally function just as nephil demons do but generally occupy a lower rank.

Siren – These are the only wholly human spirits in origin which are able to roam the earth after their deaths. They were the human wives of fallen angels and just as a human husband and wife become one flesh, a human woman who has an angelic marital partner takes on some of the spiritual attributes of her husband.

Sirens were cursed to roam the earth and have been known mostly to draw living men to destruction through lust. They are highly connected to water and operate through it… haunting bodies of water or indwelling trees that draw up waters where sirens dwell, from which came legends of creatures like nyads and dryads (water and tree spirits).

All of these spirits share one common agenda… and that is evil. Their opportunity to enter comes through sin… whether it is national sin, familial sin or personal sin. Where they enter into the lives of human beings, they wreak havoc and destruction on a world-wide scale all the way down to a single body and spirit.

They also share one common weakness for which they have no defense… they are utterly subject to the will and authority of Yahushua… always.

The victim of possession usually has no clue they are possessed until the situation peaks at a point of control or contention which makes the spirit brazen enough to act up physically in the body in ways which are obviously not consistent with the person themselves, or which put the person’s will in a “blacked out” state where they are unconscious and the time lost begins to become apparent.

A spirit within a host will, unless making a conscious effort to be unnoticed, behave in a way consistent with the spirit’s own personality… their own manner of expression, voice, body language, personal knowledge and degree of strength.

Possession as a result of personal sin often begins in temptation, evil spirits goad temptation in people and when the goading succeeds the temptation becomes action… now the power of influence for the spirit has opened up and they can direct more pressure on the person’s psyche to continue in the sin. As the sin continues, the natural protection of the barrier which would stop invading spirits from connecting into the physical faculties of the human become weakened, and holes open up in the barrier which then allows the spirit to enter.

The spirit will at first have a weak hold on the physical connection… occupying a place in the “background” or the subconscious mind. The hold gradually strengthens until at the worst possible point in possession… the possessor does not retire from control of the body and entirely takes over the life of the person… usually resulting in destruction of the life either literally and physically or in essence and spirit.

Familial spirits have a grounded right in genetics… that is through occult ancestry, nephil bloodlines or grievous sin of ancestors, a family line is dedicated spiritually to a certain spirit or group of them. This runs a course in four generations or so and then the end generation is normally encouraged, either by tradition or by the spirit itself, to rededicate the line.

These take a less aggressively destructive approach to their hosts and tend to be more inconspicuous as their goals are geared toward using the family members under their control as agents within the community, though their presence is no less destructive to the spiritual life of the person or their mental and emotional well being.

The remedy for any manner of spirit possession is deliverance in the name of Yahushua. This does not involve a lot of screaming or ritual acts or special prescribed prayers and chanting.

This involves the fervent prayer of two or three genuine believers and a victim who is wholly willing to renounce the grounds on which the spirit entered and submit their whole life to Yahushua.

Deliverance is that simple, though one turning his back on a sin which has been a staple of his life can also be less easy for that person than it should seem to an outsider.

It comes down to a life changing decision to be cleansed or to remain in a situation of slow degradation which can lead ultimately to death or worse.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the celestial realms. -Ephesians 6:12
